but here's what Setup said about the conditions:
"It was a cool and windy start to what turned out to be a fast and beautiful day at the 2008 Moe's Lake Murray Triathlon. One to two foot swells greeted the swimmers at the 8AM start and high winds on the bike course were soon to follow ... "
good times ... really. I just felt a little sorry for the first time open water swimmers, but if they survived to race another day they'll be better for it.

The water was smooth as glass at Disney this past weekend too, until you put 2000 people into it, then it was the proverbial washing machine ;-)
Ill never forget the swim in my first tri with choppy waters and white caps on the lake here in GA
